so i've been thinking a lot about this last semester and i've realized something.
although i have hated dating, i have learned so much!
and since i'm a daydreamer... i've been thinking up some of those things i learned.
i think back to when i was probably 14 years old or so...
in young womens we were asked to write down key qualities/things we want in a future fella.
so here is my updated list:
tall
spiritual
an r.m.
will take me to the temple
really funny :)
fun!
kind of awkward (because i'm awkward... so it would work)
grateful (and will express his gratitude in words)
not toooooo good looking
likes country music
athletic
encourages me to truly appreciate and respect my parents
encourages me to be better all around!
honest
honors the priesthood
won't be mad if i forget to add flour when i'm baking bread..
can somewhat cook
will do the dishes... occasionally. not often. just once in a blue moon.
loves little kids
appreciates a big family
works hard physically and mentally
handy-man
blonde
patient
spontaneous
talkative
willing to listen
takes me the hardware store with him
tells me what he's thinkin about
holds my hand in public... (but thats it.)
has healthy habits
outdoorsy
likes cheesy movies
loves his mom
will take me to concerts, hockey games, etc. (fun! things)
faithful
loving
a softey
laughs out loud
smiles a lot!
drives safely
honest
money conscious
likes to travel
loves the country
will take pictures with me
enjoys just drivin' around
likes christmas lights, and fireworks
silly... and i mean really silly
broadshoulders
will defend me when our children learn to say "no"
strong. spiritually. physically. mentally. emotionally. and every 'ally' you can think of.
some of these qualities are quite vain, i will admit. i mean.. i'll probably end up with a brunette shorty that likes ballet, the city, is afraid of dirt, and likes to sing along to opera in the car. but you know what?
it's okay.
right now... i'm not going to worry about. i'm going to go out there, make friends, and just. have. fun.
byui put such a picture of marriage in my mind (which is fine...), but i kinda forgot that i just need to have fun! so that's what i'm going to do. i'm going to appreciate simply making friends, and having fun.
